They have passed their initial exams in levelling, navigation, stalling, rolling and landing in a single engine Cessna.

Teams of our best Mathematicians from Years 5 to 8 started work on the Mathematics Olympiad last week. This is a tough competition spread across 5 events and 4 months, but the teams are off to a flying start, particularly in the Junior Division where we had 2 students, Emily Zhou (J5) and Zachary Wilkinson (P6) who achieved perfect scores. Gleb Punanov (G7) achieved the highest score in the Senior Division. Congratulations go to these students on their mathematical skills!

Language Perfect World Championships 2013

The Language Perfect World Championships have come to a close for 2013. A phenomenal effort was put in by all students and the Languages Department would like to thank all those who took part and gave it their best shot.

Some amazing achievements were made by our language students, and gained us the following positions on the Global Leader Board: 417th overall globally, 103rd overall in Australia, 37th overall in NSW, 189th overall in French, 128th for French in Australia, 48th for French in NSW and 92nd overall in Chinese.

A staggering amount of questions were answered by our students across a range of languages.

Students worked hard for a place on our own Pittwater House Leader board and to earn themselves a place in the Top20, achieving both credit and bronze awards.
