Our Board of Governors

The Board of Governors offer their services as directors at no charge and all profits are reinvested back into the school.

The Pittwater House Junior Schools, Boys' Grammar School and Girls' College are registered and accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority and the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training.

We receive per capita grants from state and commonwealth governments for each Australian citizen or permanent resident enrolled (K-12).

Meet our Board of Governors

Chairperson: Todd Alexis SC

Todd has practiced at the New South Wales Bar for over 30 years and as Senior Counsel since 2003. He has extensive experience in all superior Courts and appears regularly in the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.

Todd is Head of Chambers for the Sixth Floor Selborne and Wentworth Chambers and has served on various committees of the NSW Bar Association, including professional conduct committees.

Todd was a committee member of the Pittwater House Parents Association in 2007 and served as its President from 2008 to 2010. All his children attended Pittwater House, with the last graduating in 2014.

Les Galbraith

Les is a Director and COO of Spartan Sports Group, a global sports manufacturer and sports management company. He has extensive senior executive experience through Sydney Hilton International and American Express International with executive leadership positions ranging from operations to general management to executive sales to marketing. Les has detailed experience in credit receivable management, merchant and franchise management, country management, sales and marketing, distribution and quality assurance.

Les is also a member of the advisory board of One Eighty (oneeighty.org.au) a non-profit charity supporting mental health for young Australians.

Tod McGrouther

Tod holds a Bachelor of Law (First Class Honours and University Medal) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance (First Class Honours and University Medal) from the University of New South Wales. Tod is a Principal of KTM Capital which provides corporate advisory and debt and equity underwriting services to small and medium-sized Australian companies.

Tracey Spicer AM

Tracey is a multiple Walkley Award winning author, journalist and broadcaster who has anchored national programs for ABC TV and radio, Network Ten and Sky News.

The inaugural national convenor of Women in Media, Tracey is one of the most sought-after on stage and online keynote speakers and emcees in the region. In 2019 she was named the NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year, accepted the Sydney Peace Prize alongside Tarana Burke for the Me Too movement, and won the national award for Excellence in Women’s Leadership through Women & Leadership Australia.

In 2018, Tracey was chosen as one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, winning the Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit category. She was also named Agenda Setter of the Year by the website Women’s Agenda. For her 30 years of media and charity work, Tracey has been awarded the Order of Australia.

Highlights of her outstanding career include writing, producing and presenting documentaries on women and girls in Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda, Papua New Guinea and India. She is an Ambassador for ActionAid, Cancer Council NSW, QUT’s Learning Potential Fund, SISTER2sister and Purple Our World, and Patron of the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.

Her first book, The Good Girl Stripped Bare, became a bestseller within weeks of publication, while her TEDx Talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has attracted more than six million views worldwide. Tracey’s essays have appeared in dozens of books including Women of Letters, She’s Having a Laugh, Father Figures, Unbreakable, and Bewitched & Bedevilled: Women Write the Gillard Years.

Recently, the ABC highlighted Tracey’s #metoo work in the three part documentary series Silent No More, which featured the stories of hidden survivors.

In between emceeing and speaking at hybrid conferences and events, Tracey is researching a book on #AIbias.

Kathy Waters

Kathy is the founder and director of Pod Marketing, a consulting company providing market research, product portfolio and sales analysis, strategic planning and recruitment consulting. Prior to running her own business, Kathy held a number of senior marketing roles in the paper manufacturing industry. Kathy's experience lies in the areas of strategic planning and business analysis.

Rhett Tregunna

Rhett is CEO of Boardroom Pty. Ltd., formerly known as Registries Limited. He brings a wealth of senior management experience from roles with Eli Lilly Australia and ASX-listed companies Arrow Pharmaceuticals and Sigma Pharmaceuticals.

Connie Pople

Connie has had a vast amount of experience within the Finance industry, including 20 years as Currency Trader and Foreign Exchange Risk Management with CBA, St George and Rabobank International (Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and London). She was also the Director of Conosc Pty. Ltd., a trading company exporting soft commodities from the Pacific Islands.

Connie is also a Board member of Rainbows for Kate, a non-profit charity supporting critical research in Sarcoma Cancers.

Monique Macri

Monique specialises in ecommerce, digital marketing and customer relationship management in the retail sector. Monique currently holds the position of Senior Omnichannel Manager at the internationally recognised luxury Jeweller Bvlgari. Prior to joining Bvlgari, part of the LVMH family, Monique held leadership positions at Australian Designers Camilla & Marc and Sass & Bide.

Monique is a Pittwater House alumna, who attended the school from K-12 and was recognised as Sports Captain of the Junior School as well as College Head Prefect in her graduating year.

Dr Nancy Hillier

Dr Hillier is the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Pittwater House School.
