The Great Hall
The Great Hall has a tradition of hosting many music, drama and social functions and is the venue for school ceremonies and assemblies. It’s a professional-quality performance space and the Hall’s acoustic ceiling was designed by Louis Challis who was the sound engineer for the Sydney Opera House and Parliament House in Canberra. The Great Hall seats 600 and is equipped with two grand pianos and the historic organ. The organ is one of only five organs installed in Australia which was made by T.C Lewis of London.
The Hall’s facilities allow students to develop their artistic talents through music, choir, language, debate and drama as well as theatre set-design and construction.

Library and resources centre
Providing an open, warm and welcoming environment, the Pittwater House library and resource centre is centrally located within the school’s grounds. It is a multipurpose facility, staffed by Teacher Librarians and used by both our Junior and Senior Schools for weekly library visits and information literacy lessons. It also caters to the wider research needs of the students.
The library provides a comprehensive range of books to meet the various learning needs and interests of the students. Additionally, the library subscribes to online encyclopedias and subject-specific databases that give students access to thousands of electronic, peer reviewed, full-text articles.
We have electronic access to hundreds of worldwide newspapers, allowing students to stay up to date with current affairs and worldwide news and events. The nurse can administer prescribed medication, if required, and conducts the school-based immunisation programs.
Our canteen provides an extensive menu based on healthy, tasty and seasonal produce which will nourish your child’s body and mind. We have an on-site Chef and Chef's Assistant to cook nutritious, child-friendly, hot meals and provide fresh salad options daily.

After School Care
We offer our families an After School Care service, here on campus, so your child can move safely and easily from School to care. This service is provided by Theircare, a provider that has been hand-picked by Pittwater House for their experience and high standard of care. The service is available from Monday to Thursday for students in Kindergarten to Year 6.
Kindergarten to Year 2 students who finish school at 3pm will attend Literacy Club and then be chaperoned to After School Care by a Junior School teacher.
The next phase
To sustain the needs of our students, Pittwater House has embarked on a Masterplan process which calls for the staged development of the campus. To read more about our Masterplan, click here.
Alongside the Masterplan process, the School undertake constant smaller-scale capital works, including the refurbishment of amenities, the School oval, classroom buildings and upgrades to the swimming pool precinct.
These capital works are possible as a result of the ongoing support of the Parents' Association, Alumni Association and government funding.
“My two sports-oriented girls love the sporting facilities on campus - especially the pool! They also enjoy the feeling of space and the specialist facilities for the arts, dance and drama.”
