Year 11 student Josh Byron is part of the Australian Junior Sonix Men's Netball team that won 43-36 against New Zealand. The Australian Diamonds might not have been able to beat the Kiwis on the day, but the Junior boys had it covered last week.

Congratulations to the Australian Junior Sonix - 17/Under Boys Netball Team on a very successful tour to New Zealand. During the Round Robin event, where the boys played as an invitational side, they won 8 and lost 2, finishing the event with a 9-goal win against the previously undefeated top side and to finish equal first overall.

The team then played an exhibition match against the New Zealand 23/Under Tournament Team. After being 8 goals down at quarter time it looked like the older Kiwi's might have this one, however the Aussie boys stormed back and won 43-36 against the previously undefeated top side and to finish second overall.

Sue Barnett, Manager of Sport also travelled with the team as their Assistant Coach.
