Pittwater House School has announced the appointment of Mr David Heath as the new Head of the Grammar School.

Mr Heath will commence at the School from Term 1, 2020. He joins Pittwater House from St Aloysius’ College, Kirribilli, where he currently holds the position of the Dean of Administration and Student Well-being, having worked at the College in many capacities for the last thirteen years.

In recent years, Mr Heath contributed as the Acting Head of Senior School where he led strategic projects emanating from the College’s strategic plan. He has worked as a Year Co-ordinator and both a Senior PDHPE and Business Studies teacher and is highly regarded by his peers for his strong leadership ability.

A Northern Beaches local, Mr Heath has spent a number of years, outside of his teaching commitments, leading the Manly Sea Eagles Under 20’s team as Head Coach.

As Head of Grammar School, he will oversee the academic, social, emotional and physical well-being and development of the Pittwater House male students as well as lead and collaborate with teachers to facilitate a culture of teaching excellence. As a member of the School’s Executive team, part of his new responsibility will be to implement the School’s strategic plan.

Dr. Hillier, Principal and CEO of Pittwater House said, “There are two fundamental differences between Pittwater House and other educational institutions: the personalised care we offer to individual students, and our unique structure, which differentiates between the educational needs of each gender. We are delighted that Mr Heath will be joining us to lead our male students in their pastoral and academic care.”
