Sydney Symphony Orchestra

Students at Pittwater House in Collaroy enjoyed a complimentary concert by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) last week as part of a new partnership agreement between the SSO and Sydney Airport.

Sydney Airport is the official partner of the SSO’s ‘Schools Concerts Program’ which allows the SSO to perform interactive concerts for thousands of primary and secondary school students across Sydney and New South Wales each year, allowing students to experience the magic of a live orchestra in an accessible and entertaining format.

Last week the SSO performed for more than 2,000 primary school students from around Sydney at several Schools Concerts. Each year, the SSO reaches more than 30,000 school students throughout NSW via its Learning and Engagement education programs.

The SSO’s schools concerts – held at the ABC Centre in Ultimo, City Recital Hall Angel Place, Parramatta Riverside Theatre and venues throughout regional NSW – cater for students from kindergarten through to year 10.
