Dance Troupe Wins Two Years in a Row

Following on from our great success last year our Intermediate and Junior Eisteddfod Dance Troupes once again took out first and second place respectively in their contemporary section of the Extreme Dance Eisteddfod 2012.  Sensational result for the team.

Extreme Dance Competition 2011

Following on from the success at the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod, the Open Dance Troupe competed in the  Extreme Dance competition in the Primary School Troupes category.

The Troupe competed against 12 other Sydney schools and stole the show and successfully took out first place in this category.  Congratulations to the team for their hard work and dedication. The Dance Troupe is pictured here.

Northern Beaches Eisteddfod 2011

The Open Dance Group gained First Place for their dance routine. Theirs was one of ten performances, and this being their first ever performance, makes the prize all the more special. The group scored 90 marks with the adjudicator reporting their routine and presentation as 'stunning'.

The students from the K-4 Dance Group gained a Highly Commended Place with a score of 87 marks and were described by the adjudicator as having 'wonderful energy'. What was special about this group was that it mostly comprised of Year 1 and 2 girls and boys with one Kindergarten and two Year 3 girls.

We would like to sincerely thank Miss Kylie Claire the students' dance teacher, Mrs Virginia Younger the coordinator and all of the parents who supported the students throughout the year.
