Welcome to our new Head of Junior School

Dr Nancy Hillier
Principal

We are delighted to welcome Mr Glenn Stephenson (B.Ed Primary, M.Ed Leadership) to Pittwater House as our new Head of Junior School.

Mr Stephenson is an experienced teacher and leader, who has taught in various educational systems throughout his career, including Normanhurst Public School, Christian Brothers’ School, Lewisham, and Knox Grammar Preparatory School where he was appointed to multiple leadership positions across his seven-year tenure.

Mr Stephenson also worked at Masada College in St Ives as the Head of Learning and Teaching (Pre-K - Year 6) before taking on the Head of Academic Care (Pre-K - Year 6) role as well, having most recently come from St Patrick’s College, Strathfield as the Director of Junior School.

Committed to the implementation of best practice strategies in all aspects of school operations, Mr Stephenson is passionate about promoting a positive and engaging learning environment for students and staff, whilst fostering strong partnerships with parents.

Mr Stephenson recently moved to the Northern Beaches with his wife and three children and is very much enjoying living in the local area. In his spare time, he is working on his PhD through the University of Newcastle and indulges his personal passion for Service Learning.

He is thoroughly enjoying his role leading the Junior School community and has quickly settled into life at Pittwater House thanks in part to the wonderful support provided by his predecessor, Mrs Ruth Achurch, who has many years of experience to share. We are grateful Mrs Achurch has stayed on at Pittwater House as a class teacher to the Year 3 boys.

We look forward to benefitting from Mr Stephenson's fresh new approach.
