Teaching Philosophy
At Pittwater House we recognise that girls and boys learn differently, particularly during their formative years, and we have structured the entire school, curriculum and the overarching teaching philosophy to address this. Our approach is to educate our students in single-sex classes with a gradual introduction to co-education by Year 11-12, in preparation for university and life beyond.
As such, your son will be taught in single-sex classes from Kindergarten through to Year 8.
Being on a co-educational campus, he will however have the benefit of having a safe and confident place in which to socialise and develop the equally important art of how to mix in the co-ed society.
