Taking the worry out of starting pre-school
Starting pre-school can be a daunting time for parents and children alike. To make this transition as easy as possible Pittwater House Early Childhood Centre hold a series of activities and invites all new families to visit the centre regularly in the lead up to your child's start, to familiarise yourselves with the facilities, staff and routines.
Our class sizes are capped to a maximum of 20 students and each have a tertiary qualified teacher and assistant to ensure your child is adequately supported.
Pre-school is often the first time children are required to eat a packed lunch from home. To assist in the development of this important skill we encourage all children to eat together at tables for lunch.
The Pittwater House Early Childhood Centre is an 'Allergy Aware' centre and as such all staff, students, volunteers and parents are made aware of the safety and health issues relating to allergies.
For the protection of our youngest students, the Pittwater House Early Childhood Centre is located within the Pittwater House Schools campus and is accessed via security doors. .
Pittwater House offers after school care from 3.30pm through to 6.00pm each school day and is available to all children from Pre-schoool to Year 6. Our After School Care is run by qualified staff and student assistants in our Early Childhood Centre.
