Developing and cultivating leadership qualities within each girl is critical at Pittwater House. As such, the Girls' College boasts its own distinctive identity by having leadership positions such as Head of College, School and House Prefects, Class Captains, Year Leaders, Sports Captains and Coaches which are uniquely theirs.  College students are also able to partake in wider leadership roles within the School on the Student Advisory Committees and in the Cadets unit.

The Head of the Girls' College, Jennifer Fortuin, is the ambassador for the School's values and qualities.  She works closely with both the House and School Prefects, all of whom play a major role in mentoring students and supporting key school functions.

Every girl in the Girls' College is a member of one of our three Houses. A Prefect is appointed to each House and she is responsible for cultivating the camaraderie and general welfare of the girls in that House. Prefects are also assigned to particular Form classes, from Year 5 through to Year 9, with responsibility for mentoring students in these classes. Each Prefect is assisted by a Class Captain. The Class Captain has responsibility for the development and general welfare of the girls in that group, and sits on the Student Advisory Committee

In the sporting arena, our Sports Captains also hold down key leadership roles as do the multiple Sports Coaches who train their peers and those in younger years.
