our philosophy | contributing to the community

We believe Pittwater House has a responsibility to contribute to the community in which it is based. Part of this involves being thoughtful, responsible individuals in the local area, on the way to and from school. It also includes involvement in a wide variety of community service programmes.

Each year the Senior Prefects nominate a charity worthy of support and coordinate a range of events and programmes to raise money to assist with its objectives. The School's Community Service Programme also provides opportunities for students to elect to work on projects to support a vast array of community programmes including the environment, aged care and animal welfare.

Pittwater House also offers a voluntary Cadet Unit Programme.  The Army Cadet unit is within the NSW Australian Army Cadets Brigade which is in turn part of the Commonwealth Government's Australian Defence Force Cadet Scheme.
