The Pittwater House Parents Association (PHPA) is an enthusiastic and dedicated group of volunteer parents whose objective is to enhance the spirit of the 'school family', provide some essential services for the schools' parents and students and to contribute to the facilities of the schools through fundraising activities. We encourage both parents and grand parents to join as it is both rewarding and fun.

The work of the PHPA involves the following:

  • Developing the School family spirit through all our social functions, where parents can get together and meet new parents. Socialising with families of our children's friends helps create an important network which is the fabric of our school community.

  • Operating the continuing services that benefit parents and children alike - the School's Canteen, Clothing Pool, Pittwater House Family and Business Directory, English Book Scheme, the second hand book sales and the PHPA Book Club.

  • Holding fundraising events to help provide additional facilities at the school, which will benefit our children now and those to come in the future.

  • Major functions include the Summer Drinks Party, the Mothers' Day Luncheon, the Fathers Day Breakfast and the "Music at the House".

Over the last nine years, donations to the School from the PHPA fundraising activities have totaled over $300,000. Some of the facilities and equipment purchased with these funds include the school swimming pool, shade structures throughout the Campus, air-conditioning for the Junior School classrooms, sports equipment, musical instruments and refurbishment of School areas such as the library, canteen and Year 12 common room.

Parents wishing to donate their time and enthusiasm are always welcome.
