Pittwater House is a unique twin school campus owned and managed by The Pittwater House Schools Limited, a public non-profit company limited by guarantee reporting to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission. The Council of Governors offer their services as Directors at no charge and all profits are reinvested back into the School.


The Pittwater House Junior School, Grammar School for Boys and  Girls' College are registered and accredited by the NSW Board of Studies and the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training and receives per capita grants from State and Commonwealth governments for each Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident enrolled (K-12).

Chairman: Todd Alexis, SC

Todd has practiced at the New South Wales Bar for nearly 30 years and as Senior Counsel since 2003.  He is predominantly a trial advocate with extensive experience in all Superior Courts, particularly in equity and commercial law.  He also appears regularly in the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.


Todd is a director of the 6th floor of Selborne and Wentworth Chambers and has served on various committees of the NSW Bar Association, including Professional Conduct Committees.  He is a keen surfer, a member of the Warringah Triathlon Club and snowboards during the winter.


Todd was a committee member of the Pittwater House Parents Association in 2007 and served as its President from 2008 to 2010.  All his children attended Pittwater House, with the last graduating Year 12 in 2014. 


Les Galbraith

Les' current professional role is COO of Spartan Sports Group. Spartan is a global sports manufacturer and Sports Management company.  His extensive senior executive experience in the private sector commenced at the Sydney Hilton International as a member of the food and beverage leadership team. From there Les moved to American Express International for a 20 year distinguished career in many wide geographic and varied executive leadership positions ranging from operations, general management, executive sales and marketing in business leadership positions in their Consumer & Corporate Card, Travellers Cheque and Travel divisions. Les has detailed knowledge and experience in credit receivable management, merchant and franchise management, country management, sales and marketing, distribution and quality assurances.


Les is also Chairman of the Board of Cure Our Kids, a not for profit children's charity supporting the needs of oncology at the Westmead Children's Hospital in Western Sydney.


Steve Howell

Steve is the CEO of HCAP Asset management, an investment management firm specialising in Asia. He brings over 25 years experience in international financial markets, establishing trading businesses for a number of major financial institutions.


Jason Mahoney

Jason is Managing Director of Kantar Retail Australia, a global management consulting firm specialising is growth strategies for consumer goods and services businesses.  Before returning to Australia in 2011, Jason spent 12 years working in various countries around the world including America, China, Taiwan and South Africa.


Tod McGrouther

Tod holds a Bachelor of Law (First Class Honours and University Medal) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance (First Class Honours and University Medal) from the University of New South Wales. Tod is a principal of KTM Capital which provides corporate advisory and debt and equity underwriting services to small and medium size Australian companies.


Tracey Spicer

Tracey is a broadcaster, journalist and writer for ABC TV, Fairfax Media and the mamamia network. She is an accomplished MC and keynote speaker. Tracey also runs the media training company, Spicer Communications Pty. Ltd., and teaches presentation at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.


She is the national convenor of Women in Media, Patron of Cancer Council NSW and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research into pancreatic cancer, and Ambassador for ActionAid, World Vision, Dying with Dignity and World Animal Protection. 


Kathy Waters

Kathy is the Founder and Director of Pod Marketing, a consulting company providing market research, product portfolio and sales analysis, strategic planning and recruitment consulting. Prior to running her own business, Kathy held a number of senior marketing roles in the paper manufacturing industry. Kathy's experience lies in the areas of strategic planning and business analysis.


Rhett Tregunna

Rhett is CEO of Boardroom Pty Limited, formerly known as Registries Limited. He brings with him a wealth of senior management experience from roles with Eli Lilly Australia and ASX-listed companies Arrow Pharmaceuticals and Sigma Pharmaceuticals.


Dr Nancy Hillier

Dr Hillier is the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Pittwater House.
